Academic Publications
Neon has deep roots in academia. Several of us hold or have held
positions at universities and research institutes, and we stay closely
connected to the research community. Together we have published well
over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, many on the very topics we
advise on: electricity market design, congestion management, balancing,
and network regulation.
We believe this background makes us better consultants. Academic work
instills a certain discipline: stating assumptions explicitly,
quantifying where possible, and following the evidence wherever it
leads. It also underpins our independence: our reputation rests on the
quality of our analysis, not on delivering comfortable conclusions.
The selection below gives a sense of this side of our work.
